April 1 was Capelfest 2012. Bean Sprout Bubba last attended Capelfest in 2010.

Setting up around 8am, just before the morning downpour! Very thankful that there was nothing on the ground as it got very very wet.
The weather was very wet to begin with, and windy at the end. It made for a very interesting day at the markets.
Everything was piled on top of the tables in baskets, as I didn’t want to risk getting any stock wet on the ground if it rained again.
I was very glad to meet all the new parents and grandparents. Some mums had questions about cloth nappies, while others were keen to purchase cloth nappies as gifts for their nearest and dearest.
Every time the wind blew, you could see me and other stall holders hanging on to their marquees and umbrellas for dear life. Quite worrying at the time, but I chuckle now at the memory.
My stall was located in Gazebo Park Lane off Buchanan Road, where all the food was sold.
I had some of the best butter chicken and lamb korma with spiced basmati rice I’ve ever eaten in SW WA, by Spice Odysee, a mobile restaurant servicing Busselton (Rotary Park lunchtimes), Dunsborough (3 nights a week) and Margaret River (3 nights a week).
Met a few lovely stall neighbours too!

Neighbours: Thermomix market stall, most people have heard about the Thermomix from the feedback I overheard.

Stall neighbour: Thermomix market stall with Michelle Chaplin (Busselton and South West) and team members

Old and antique bottles that tell a story, many people stopped by to hear Phil talk about the history of any bottle.
It was quite refreshing to be amongst other marketeers who were selling non-handmade items for a change. Till the next market day!
PS: I’ve added a few items to the Clearance section at my online store labelled ‘Dust and wind’ for stock that got a bit damp or dusty at Capelfest, or were used as demo items.

Loved to see your photos of the stall. There seems to be so many markets around you!! I wish I lived close by!! Great post!
